What Is on the Rack

There is no agreement in this building that obligates us to move a certain volume of anything. That is the whole reason the rack looks like this.

Why Independence Changes the Rack

A shop with a manufacturer agreement carries deep inventory in one or two brands and a token selection of everything else. That is not dishonesty, it is economics — the agreement is what makes the inventory affordable. But it does mean the fitting has a thumb on the scale before you walk in.

We went the other way, which costs us margin and means we hold fewer units of any given model. In exchange, when a head ends up on your spec sheet it is because it measured better for you. Roughly a fifth of what we build in a year involves a head we sell perhaps twice, which is a terrible retail strategy and a good fitting one.

If a manufacturer releases something we do not stock and your session suggests it is worth testing, we will order a demo in. It adds a week to the process and we would rather do that than pretend the options on the wall are the whole market.

What We Do Not Do

  • No house brand or rebadged components
  • No volume commitments to any manufacturer
  • No retail floor and no impulse rack
  • No commission structure on brand choice

Shaft Lines We Keep in Test Length

Brand availability shifts with manufacturer release cycles and what has been borrowed out for testing. If a specific model matters to you, call ahead and we will confirm it is on the rack before you make the drive.
